David B. Gelbmann, DPM

David Gelbmann, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon dedicated to helping patients find relief from foot, ankle, and leg conditions at Gelbmann Podiatry, with offices in Chicago, IL. Practicing since 2011, Dr. Gelbmann offers comprehensive care with a personal touch.

A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. Gelbmann holds dual degrees in molecular biology and biology. He went on to earn his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. He then completed a rigorous three-year surgical residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, one of the busiest hospitals in the region, where he performed up to five foot and ankle surgeries per day under the mentorship of top specialists.
Dr. Gelbmann is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and serves as a surgical attending physician at both Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Weiss Memorial Hospital. His research has been published in several scientific journals, and he is a three-time contributor to the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Scientific Literature Review.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Gelbmann enjoys running, playing softball, and spending quality time with his wife and young children. Each year, he volunteers in the medical tent at the Chicago Marathon and other Midwest running events, giving back to the community he serves.

Garen Azizi, DPM

Since 2019, Dr. Garen Azizi is a compassionate and skilled podiatric physician at Gelbmann Podiatry, located in Chicago, IL, and is committed to delivering exceptional care for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. He has a particular interest in treating complex and challenging pathologies, with a focus on helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Azizi offers a variety of advanced treatments, including custom orthotics, minimally invasive bunion and hammertoe correction, elective and non-elective surgical procedures, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and neuropathy management. He takes a personalized approach, tailoring each treatment plan to meet his patients’ individual needs and lifestyle goals.
After earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Azizi completed an extensive residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. His training includes specialized expertise in sports medicine, trauma care, foot and ankle surgery, reconstructive procedures, wound care, and routine foot health.
Dr. Azizi is a candidate for certification by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, ABFAS, and is an active member of the organization. He is dedicated to staying at the forefront of podiatric advancements to offer his patients the best possible outcomes.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Azizi enjoys staying active by playing and watching sports, traveling, and spending time with his family. He is fluent in English and Armenian and conversational in Spanish, allowing him to connect with and care for a diverse group of patients.
